Ooit in gebruik om de waterhuishouding in de polders te reguleren. Met een tandheugel kon de schuif in een duiker worden bediend. Het Waterschap sloopte al diverse tandheugelkasten: nabij het Sas van Dirksland, haven Oude Tonge en enkele weken terug een fraai exemplaar aan de Galathesedijk bij Ooltgensplaat. Als reden werd opgegeven: niet meer functioneel.
